Google is removing it’s Page Rank toolbar
This week Google has confirmed that it is removing it’s Page Rank tool bar from it’s browser (Google Chrome).
This means that if you are using a Page Rank checker it may no longer function in the weeks to come. Google have confirmed that the company still uses PageRank data internally within the ranking algorithm, but the external PageRank values shown in the Toolbar are going away completely. Clearly Google PageRank is still a fundamental part of its algorithm.
What does this mean for you?
It means it will be more difficult to establish the strength of a domain/website
No longer able to refer to a website’s page rank
Use other SEO tools to establish the value of a link, domain or website
