Topskips.com was the world’s FIRST fully online Skip Hire service launched in August 2003 in Manchester and is part of Perfect Associates Ltd Trading as PAL Hire. PAL Hire provide a range of hire services across the UK including Generators, Containers, Welfare Cabins, Portable Toilets and Skips.
Before Thule Media’s involvement, Topskips.com had been suffering from poor optimisation, dated design and particular Google penalties relating to duplicated content (Google Panda) and poor external backlinks (Google Penguin). Top Skips required a whole overhaul in terms of backlinks, content, website design, coding and site structure.
Brief & Idea
The brief was to design, develop and implement a new website design aimed to improve overall website conversion (including both organic and paid conversion), aswell as being responsive (mobile friendly), appealing in design, optmised in terms of usability and optmised coding.
The new website design was commissioned to bring the website up to date in comparison to the current market. The new website design and redevelopment was also implemented inline with an ongoing Google penalty recovery and new search engine optimisation strategy.
The Google penalty recovery involved a whole overhaul of existing design, images, content, internal links and external links. The new development also involved the installation of a bespoke CMS and bespoke features such as bespoke call to action integration.
The new website represents our clients ambition to not only compete but dominate the Skip Hire industry by offering affordable, local skip hire services across the UK. We can report that our client has benefited from the Google penalty recovery, improved code optimisation, search engine optimisation and improved conversion.
Result
Redeveloped a website based on a bespoke CMS with an aim to deliver an improvement in rankings and organic traffic. The project involved bespoke CMS development, website development, website design, digital marketing consultancy and Google penalty (tarffic) recovery.
The redevelopment, penalty recovery and new SEO strategy led to a clear increase in rankings, traffic and web enquiries/conversions generated directly from the website.
